I began my training as a singer and musician as a chorister at Cirencester Parish Church under the inspirational tutalige of Father John Beck, his wife Susan and the Royal School of Church Music. Then, followed RSM, the Tanwood Theatre School under the expert guidance of Mollie Tanner, then came the industry. A 30 year career followed as an actor appearing in 11 west end plays and musicals including, Cats, Les Miserables, Blood Brothers, Starlight Express, Dirty Blonde, Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens, Party, Ziegfeld & Me and My Girl. I have worked all over the UK and also lived and worked in Paris.

 As a freelance theatre creative and lecturer I have worked extensively at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, The Oxford School of Drama, The London College of Music, Millenium and Arts Educational Schools, London.

 Most recently, I Directed, ‘Aladdin’ for Qdos at the White Rock Theatre, Hastings, ‘Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang’ for the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon, ‘Bad Girls' for London College of Music and was Musical Director for 'Coram Boy' at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

 In 1991 I began my journey as a vocal coach, singing teacher and acting through song teacher.

I currently teach at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, The Oxford School of Drama, Accademia della Spetacolo in Turin, privately from Studios in London and Paris and now online via Zoom. I am also the External Examiner for the MA Musical Theatre Programme at The Royal Academy of Music, the External Examiner for the BA Musical Theatre Programme at Arts Educational Schools London, a founder Trustee for Read College, a new proposal reviewer for Methuen Drama Publications an Associate Patron of EDSA and a Consultant for the Musical Theatre Repertoire for the A.B.R.S.M.

 I live in a small village in the beautiful West Oxfordshire Cotswolds with my husband Maurice Clarke and our wire haired fox terrier, Archie and am a busy church organist playing in the Shill Valley and Broadshire Benefice
